You will lead the engineering on high-traffic WordPress platforms for global brands: architecture, custom plugins and themes, and the publishing workflows the content teams live in.
What you will do
- Lead core engineering on enterprise WordPress platforms that publish daily.
- Build new functionality and maintain custom plugins and themes.
- Re-engineer admin experiences so editors move faster, not slower.
- Own performance, security and release quality on the sites you touch.
- Work directly with clients as the technical voice in the room.
What we look for
- Five or more years building custom WordPress at scale, not just assembling themes.
- Strong PHP, plus comfort in modern JavaScript and the block editor.
- Experience with CI, code review and keeping production boring.
- Clear written English and the confidence to disagree with a client kindly.
Nice to have
- Headless experience with Contentful, Strapi or Contentstack.
- Migrations off Drupal or legacy WordPress estates.
